16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

This year’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign provides an opportunity for us to connect at events across the region, reflect on the last 12 months, and support each other to persist and maintain our strength as we head into the next year.

This year, Safe and Equal’s theme for the 16 Days is Hope in Action. Hope is such a vital emotion for us to hold space for and ignite within our colleagues as we manage the challenges that come with this work.

Through the campaign Hope in Action, Safe and Equal demonstrates how family and gender-based violence prevention and response work is creating hope – for both the family violence sector and the broader community – through meaningful change.

Check out the WIFVC’s wrap up of 16 Days activity in the West. The WIFVC team is so energised by the variety and creativity of the events being held across our region.

Thank you for your involvement with the WIFVC in 2024. Your contributions, insights, participation in meetings and events, and collaboration across the group have been so valuable and greatly appreciated.

Our team will be taking a break over the festive season, with our last day being Friday 20 December. We will be back online from Tuesday 7 January.

Go gently as we head into the final weeks of the year, and we look forward to continuing to work alongside you in 2025.
